About Us

The Wilson Community Food Pantry is a not-for-profit organization serving the Town and Village of Wilson, New York and the Wilson Central School District.  Our Mission is to fight hunger in the community by building partnerships that distribute food, teach nutrition and give hope to those in need.

The Wilson Community Farmer's Market, sponsored by the pantry, fosters healthful eating by bringing fresh, wholesome foods to the entire community.

Our pantry is an ecumenical effort, not affiliated with any one church. Physical space and utilities for operation are donated by St Brendan on the Lake Catholic Church. Six other local area churches of other denominations provide other services and donate to keep the pantry going. Clergy take turns serving as a member of the Board of Directors.

Federal tax dollars, donations and our fundraising events provide money for operation. All donations are used to provide basic food to those who meet the criteria to receive our services. ALL Volunteer staff; no one is paid, including the administrator.
